Sam Isaacs and Son Limited is the oldest and most trusted name in the Jamaican Funeral Home Industry. This fourth generation family owned and operated funeral home has been serving families for over 100 years.

HISTORY
Established in 1912 by our founder Samuel Abraham Isaacs - Sam Isaacs and Son Ltd. is the oldest funeral home in Jamaica. Sam, as he was affectionately called, first set up operations at Orange Street, Kingston upon his return to Jamaica after studying Funeral Directing in the United States. The business grew rapidly and before long it expanded to Hanover Street, Kingston from where the business Sam Isaacs and Son Ltd. still operates over a century later.

Through dedication and impeccable service, the company earned the respect and honor throughout Jamaica and in no time, Sam Isaacs became a household name. Quite a record to have served three National Heroes, a number of Prime Ministers, Collie Smith the great Jamaican cricketer, Louise Bennett, to mention just a very few names who have passed through its doors over the past century.

Sam worked tirelessly building coffins, designing, and dressing caskets, embalming, carving the angels in the marble headstones, you name it. These skills he passed on to his children and staff.
When cremation became an option, Sam was the first person in the Caribbean to offer this service. He established the  Sunset Burial Park and Crematorium which is located in the lush hills of Shooters Hill, St. Andrew overlooking the Caribbean Sea. He built a Chapel on the property which would cater to persons of all faiths and ethnicities. It was adorned with opulent red velvet seats and curtains, massive bronze candlesticks, a dinky state of the art foot- pedal organ which his wife Hilda would play at the funeral services. Presently, his granddaughter Valerie plays for a number of the funeral services.
